Pattern Making

Your design, engineered to be sewn

A beautiful sketch is a starting point, not a blueprint. Pattern making is what turns your design into something that can actually be cut, sewn, and reproduced — a precise technical template for every piece of your garment. At Sew-Rite Studio, our pattern making and garment development service bridges the gap between your creative vision and a manufacturable product.

What garment development includes

  • Design Consultation - We talk through your designs, your goals, and your timeline. If you're new to manufacturing, we explain each step so you always know what's happening and why.

  • Pattern drafting - We draft your initial patterns from your sketches, tech packs, measurements, or reference garments — built to your size specifications.

  • Fittings & revisions - Patterns are tested against sewn samples and refined through fittings until the fit, drape, and proportions are exactly right.

  • Grading - Once your base size is approved, we grade the pattern across your full size range so every size fits the way it should.

  • Production-ready patterns -  You receive clean, accurate patterns designed in PAD System  ready for sampling and manufacturing.

Who this is for

Our pattern making service is for designers who have the vision but need the technical foundation: emerging designers developing their first collection, brands adding new styles to their line, and anyone whose designs exist on paper but not yet as sewable patterns. If you've ever been told "we can't make this from just a sketch" — we can. It's some of our favourite work!

Development and manufacturing under one roof

Here's the advantage of developing your patterns with a manufacturer: the people drafting your patterns are the same people who will cut and sew your garments. Nothing gets lost in translation between a separate pattern maker and a separate factory. Your patterns are built with our production process in mind from day one, which means fewer surprises, fewer revisions, and a smoother path to finished garments.
