Every year, the first of May marks the beginning of the month long Scotiabank CONTACT Photography festival in Toronto. This year plans went a little awry with the pandemic and as a result my photobook show for CONTACT was cancelled. The obsessive need to continue photographing led me to the birth of this new series of meditative work that documents the bloom and death of a tulip bouquet brought home by Alexis.
